Sacred Heart Church is hiring a full time stewardship and communications person.

We are a vibrant parish of about 1800 families. We are staffed by Jesuits and made up mostly of immigrants from Spanish speaking countries, primarily from Mexico and Central America, but with numbers of people also from Caribbean and South American countries.  There is also a growing community of English speakers, drawn to our Jesuit heritage, namely Ignatian spirituality and a commitment to walking with the marginalized.

The successful candidate will develop and oversee a comprehensive program to form parishioners and foster a culture of stewardship that includes stewardship of time, talent, and treasure.

This person will also develop, consolidate, and oversee all parish communications, including bulletin, website, electronic newsletter, and social media platforms.

The person we hire needs to be bilingual (English and Spanish) and have strong communication skills, oral and written, in both languages.

The person needs cross cultural competence, that is, he or she must be familiar with, at home in, and easily navigate both North American and diverse Latino cultures.

Due to the nature of the position, the person also needs to be a practicing Roman Catholic and willing to become part of our parish community.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and completeDiocesan Applicationto Alfredo Arreola, Sacred Heart Director of Administration, at [email protected]
