Purpose
Due to the current immigration reality that affects Hispanic in the United States of America, The National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors of Hispanic Ministry (NCADDHM), along with several Hispanic national Catholic entities, stand together with Pope Leo XIV, the USCCB Bishops with their Special Message and The USCCB Committee on Migration’s initiative You Are Not Alone, with a National Hispanic Spiritual Initiative.
This spiritual initiative includes a series of liturgical and pastoral materials that will be available in our NCADDHM website to be used by priests, deacons, and lay leaders in their liturgical celebrations and apostolic groups all year along following the Church liturgical calendar.
These pastoral materials are focused on prayers for our government, peace in our country, but especially for those who are the most vulnerable Hispanics in our nation affected by:
1) separation of families
2) being held in detention centers
3) facing deportation.
We as national leaders of the Hispanic community fully understand the need to spiritually support the people that we serve in our ministry and would like to let them know, especially the most vulnerable, that you are not alone. You are in our heart; we pray and walk with you.
