The National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministry, #32
“Providing young people with relevant and transformational opportunities to utilize their gifts in the
Catholic community as well as to live out their faith as active members of their civic societies
and builders of a society cemented in gospel values of justice, peace, and fraternal love.”
My name is Alma Vera. I am a first generation Mexican American Catholic. I’ve known the faith my entire life but encountered the Lord at 21 and from then on made my life one of mission. Since then, I have served the Church in a variety of roles. I am currently serving as the Communications Director for St Peter St Joan of Arc Church in Columbus, Ohio. It is a privilege to serve on the Board for NCADDHM representing the Young Adult voice. My hope while serving this term is to assist in being the bridge for the generational gaps that exist within the Hispanic Catholics in the US.
